  4.     I was distressed to read your account of the opening of the
  5. Sixth Floor of the Texas School Book Depository in Dallas (NATION,
  6. Feb. 27). The Sixth Floor, the product of ten years of research
  7. and planning, was established as an educational and historical
  8. exhibition dealing with the life, death and legacy of John F.
  9. Kennedy, not to capitalize on the Kennedy assassination for
  10. commercial gain. It gives the thousands of people who come to see
  11. the site a chance to review in a historical context the events that
  12. occurred in Dallas. Although the Kennedy family was not consulted
  13. on the plans, we have kept them informed of our work for a number
  14. of years.
